2024 Baseball Age Chart
Grand Blanc Little League has divisions for all kids from 4 years to 16 years old. See the age chart above to determine the "Baseball Age" of your child. All divisions refer to the player's "Baseball Age." Look up and remember your player's BBA before going any further!
The GBLL has transitioned the Coach Pitch Division to Machine Pitch and has added back the Rookies Division. Please read the division descriptions carefully before submitting a play up request. Thank you!!

- Play down requests are rarely granted. If you would like your player to play in a younger division, please make a special request with your reasoning to [email protected] and the board will take it into consideration.
T-Ball (BBA 4-5) $120 - 12 teams expected
This is an introductory league. If your player has done T-Ball already, they are welcome to move up to *Machine Pitch* if you feel they are ready for the changes!

- Game and practice times may vary (depending on field availability) but they will be in the evening around 5:30pm and last approximately 1 hour on Monday and Wednesday.
- Practices begin May 29th. Season ends August 7th. No practices or games the week of 7/1.
- There will be 9 practices and 10 games played. Weather permitting.
- Practices/games will be scheduled at Rust Park and Grand Blanc Schools.
Machine Pitch (BBA 6-7) $120 - 12 teams expected
First and foremost, we are moving away from a coach pitch division to machine pitch. Also, baseball rules will be put into place from the beginning of the season. Outs will be awarded if a player is put out at a base or if the player does not put the ball into play after 5 pitches and one attempt at the tee. An inning ends after 3 outs are made or every player has batted. No score will be kept. No umpires will be used.
New for 2024 - First year players with a BBA of 6 will be moved to tee ball.

- First practice is on May 28th. Season ends August 8th. No practices or games the week of 7/1.
- There will be 10 practices and 10 games played, weather permitting.
- Games/practices are at Rust Park and Grand Blanc Schools.
Rookies (BBA 7-8) $160 - 8 teams expected
The Rookies Division is meant to bridge the gap between Machine pitch and Minors. If the player is a baseball age of 7, it is required they have at least one season of Coach/Machine Pitch before moving up to the Rookies division. There will several baseball rules in effect for this division.
The odd innings will be player pitch from 40 feet. Balls and strikes will be called. Players cannot walk, so if the pitcher throws 4 balls, the coach will assume the strike count, and the batter will get machine pitches until he strikes out or puts the ball into play.
The even innings will be machine pitch from 46ft. Balls and strikes will be called, and the player can strike out. NO TEE WILL BE USED. No walks will be allowed.
The only exception is if the player pitcher hits the batter, the batter will be awarded first base. Stealing is allowed for 2nd and 3rd base but not home. Score will be kept. There is a 5 run/inning max allowed. Junior umpires will be used.
Players enrolling in the Rookies must attend one of the pre-season evaluations.

- INDOOR practices will be on the weeks of 3/13 and 3/20. Practices days and times TBD.
- OUTDOOR practices will start the week of 4/3 weather permitting. If the fields are unplayable, we will transition to indoor practice.
- The first game will be on Thursday, April 11th and the season will end June 1st. Practices will be scheduled throughout the season by the GBLL.
- Practices are at Rust Park or GB schools. Games will be at Bicentennial.
Minors (BBA 9-10) $160 - 6 teams expected
Mandatory evaluations will be held at Iceland on Saturday Feb 17th or Saturday, Feb 24th. Please have your player attend one of the days!

Intermediate (BBA 11-13) $160 - 4 teams expected
Mandatory evaluations will be held at Iceland on Feb 17th and Saturday, Feb 25th. Please have your player attend one of the days!

Unless 6 teams can be formed, the players in the Intermediate division will be playing through Quadtown. This will involve traveling to neighboring cities to play their Little League teams. Practices and games will be on Tuesday and Thursdays.

Juniors/Seniors $160 - (BBA 13-14/15-16)
Juniors/Seniors may merge depending on Quadtown offerings. The decision will be made once the number of players registered for Quadtown has been determined. If we have to merge, any registered players that do not feel comfortable playing with this age range will be given refunds prior to uniforms being ordered. We will make a final decision at the end of registration.

- 12 games should be played with the possibility of a small playoff
